This system will move littletonight, and little if any development is expected during that timedue to interaction with land. However, the low should begin tomove northward on Thursday, and a tropical depression is likely toform by late Thursday or on Friday when the low moves across thewestern Gulf of Mexico. An Air Force Reserve Unit reconnaissanceaircraft is scheduled to investigate the area on Thursday, ifnecessary. Regardless of development, heavy rainfall will continueover portions of Central America and southern Mexico during thenext few days. Heavy rains should also begin to affect portions ofthe northern Gulf Coast on Friday.
