You are not mature in Christ if you are easily provoked, offended or angry. You are a babe. This is what babies do when they do not get what they want. This is weakness expressing itself. You are not strong in Christ because you love those who love you, even sinners do that. True strength in Christ is expressed in giving to those who cannot or will not ever repay you, whether you gave them money, kindness, turned the other cheek, or whatever. It is in loving those who do not reciprocate the same love that you give to them. True strength in Christ is expressed not in making yourself understood, but in understanding others, in seeking to give to others rather than to receive from them. True strength in Christ is unfailing love. Love that doesn't fail to give when hurt, misunderstood, or mistreated. Furthermore, true strength in Christ is when these outward performances do not contradict what is in the heart: it is when outward acts of love are produced from a heart filled with love.God is love. JESUS is the express image of that love. Spend time with Him and you will be made strong for His glory.
