I don't know. You don't know. THAT'S the REAL problem today. When we were growing up, we depended on scientists, journalists, and even our government for the most part to tell the truth. Then, slowly but surely, the emphasis shifted to sensationalism and profit. Folks, for those of you that don't know, there's a LOT of money in television and news. A LOT. Hence the advent of the 24hr news stations. If they get a breaking news story that's riveting, and it's an exclusive, even better. Then, before they sell "rights" to other stations, they approach it from the full 360 degrees to milk it for what it's worth. They stand ready for ANYBODY to claim their 15 minutes of fame/shame. Protests? Riots? Police chase? Shootings? Death? Destruction? Arguing? New scientific breakthrough? Corrupt politician? Sex scandal? It all sells, and sells big. Which leaves us to wander aimlessly about searching for the REAL truth. The days of Walter Cronkite, Dr. Christian Barnard, Dr. Ben Carson as a pediatric neurosurgeon, Dr. Jonas Salk, and the plethora of Statesmen are gone for good. Now, we're stuck with a "follow the money" approach instead of "ferret out the truth". Everything has been politicized to enable the money machines. That's what's got everybody at each other's throats today. Without the knowledge of the truth, we're all subject to whims of nonsensical morons who only want to serve their own agenda. A large part of our population doesn't even know how to search for the truth, they're not journalists or investigators. At our age, we're lucky to know how to turn on a computer without it bursting into flames. Cyber sounds like a dietary supplement ! Alas, though, in order to understand what's really happening, we've got to get better at what we do and how we do it. We shouldn't have to question everything anymore. Liars, cheats, scammers, and corrupt politicians all have a place, but it's NOT HERE. Events, ESPECIALLY since 2004 , have created a "royal family" of nitwits in the Dang Cesspool. EVERYTHING'S for sale, but WE can't buy it because they tax us to death to support their addictions. Changing laws to facilitate their actions is just a minor step for them. That's why both sides had to team up against the "outsider". Doubt me? Name ONE person who's not a politician they'd tolerate in 2024. Both parties, the MSM, social media, and the American people. I rest my case. In order to return to any sense of normalcy, we need to bring back the truth in broadcasting laws. The equal time laws. The limitations on media empires. When only 6 people control every outlet for information, we do indeed have a problem. Couple that with the complicity of Big Tech restricting your abilities to get truth from around the world, and three letter agencies watching your every move internationally for their own nefarious reasons and you understand what I'm talking about. It's called oppression. The rescuing of our Republic demands we ferret out the truth about EVERY question. One way or another. Once and for all. With FULL ramifications to the ne'er-do-wells. Publicly !
