There is no lumber shortage. That is not the reason the price of lumber has shot up. It has gone up due to the price of gas which is needed to transport it. Everything will go up in price...if it is transported by truck, train, etc. All goods are dependent upon the current price of gasoline.

Oh also freight yards have massive amounts of merchandise in them. All they are is temporary holding facilities for items that are unloaded by rail or ship. Don't let these photos scare you.
