I've said it before in passing about three years ago, but it remains the cause of our maladies today. THEY don't want US, we're too educated and knowledgeable. They want our kids and grandkids, they're easier to indoctrinate. Before you go gettin' up on your leftist liberal high horse, bear with me on the progress that's already been made. Ostensibly, we're responsible for our children until they're 18, or emancipated. Yet, new rules and regulations belie that concept. Parental authority over their children has been stripped down to providing a place for them to sleep only. First, they pass a law that mandates children attend school. Then, they mandate immunizations before they're allowed in. Ever since Dr. Spock whipped up the masses, discipline is now removed from the precious little kiddies. Touch them or raise your voice and they can report you to the school counselor. Now you face child abuse charges. If you tell them "no" to any craving they have, it's abuse. Our society has turned control over to the leftist liberal experimenters that ply their failed policies. Then, there's the medical choices available to parents today. A lot of parents today aren't married to avoid the costs of childbirth, relying on Medicaid, etc. That leaves one medical consent which has also been removed. The gender of the child must remain unspoken until it's old enough to speak its decision. Puberty blockers are being introduced now. Sexual reassignment is an option, like "God made a mistake with this one, so we'll fix it". " The Pill" is available without consent. Major health issues have been removed from parental choice. When is the last time YOU checked on the number of immunizations a child is required to have from kindergarten through high school? It will BLOW your mind. Yet, you have no say about that. There are school nurses, Doctors, and mental health counsellors along with social workers at most schools now. Without discipline, there's bullying. There's no ramifications to bad behaviour. Social issues are taught more than reading, writing, and 'rithmetic. Computers and the internet are the new game in town. So, in the "Land of the free", what purpose are parents allowed to serve? They're economically responsible for whatever the school system mandates. Even dress codes were scrapped for uniforms in order to force conformity and remove freedom of choice. Now, with the " bounty" paid by the federal government on each students head, they control curriculum and conformance with every student in every state. Literally, they've federalized our education system. You say no? Refuse to comply with standards established by them and watch how fast federal monies are cut off until compliance is verified. It wasn't supposed to be this way, either. The Department of Education wasn't established until it was signed into law by Jimmy Carter in 1979. Until then, it was under the auspices of state governments and local control. Now, even the curriculum, title 9, government health decisions, government locker room policies, government rules and regulations control the children and our interactions with them. Doesn't this qualify under tyranny? Anybody care ? When they figure out mass housing for children on military bases from the illegals, stand by for construction of massive "Centers". How can you expect anything else?
