Someone mentioned that the many colors might represent all the different ethnicities within the tribes of Jacob/Israel! They certainly wouldn't want us to know we are all one big HAPPY family!! And what if the coat's colors were Red and Yellow, Black and White, they are precious in His sight (remember the kid's song?)... representing the melting pot of Omerica!
