The centralization of our government at any/all levels is to be prevented at all costs. The powers of the government were/are delineated in our Constitution, with those not mentioned to be retained unto the People and the States. For those who do not understand I proffer the following after having lived in 14 states and travelled in most of the others. I've lived/travelled in many foreign countries. No, I don't know everything, but I DO know that people everywhere are different, with different priorities. We know that every individual has different DNA. We know that no two people have the same fingerprints. We were all put here by God for a reason, and the color of our skin, nationality, gender, and makeup was chosen by Him for us. The strength of any society is in the diversity of its people and their ability to celebrate the best of all of their qualities and to compromise on their differences. We're not computers that you can update the software and everything will be the same. Think how much happier clothing manufacturers would be if there was no need for different sizes ! Right now, our government is preaching unity constantly. We've had unity before, then it was prostituted for political purposes. The new culture is in the process of redefining unity into "unity through conformity". The threats for non compliance are becoming edicts for the cancel culture, which is the definition of tyranny and oppression. What could somebody born/raised in California, who's now a millionaire in CONgress sequestered from reality, POSSIBLY know about life/living in South Dakota in the winter? What could they possibly know about living in the South in the dog days of summer? What works in the kennels I call cities is 100% different than what works in the rural areas of our country. Think you can pass a law that'll stop a charging bull if you wind up in his pasture? The appalling ignorance of these people astounds me. EVERY region is just as different as the next, and one set of laws cannot possibly be applied unilaterally by any political party. Localities alone handle that. I. E. the People and the States. Unity? Yes. We have that in the UNITED of the USA. What is being created by this attempted power grab is the Powerless States of America. History has shown us where this leads EVERY time. Think I'm wrong? Name one other place that went socialistic then communist that's a better place to live. If that were the case, why are the caravans heading here instead of Venezuela or China? A centralized government of the idiots, by the idiots, and for the idiots cannot/will not work here. We were born into freedom, and USED to celebrate our differences, NOT force conformity to an agenda. If you don't like guns, stay away from walking in swamps or the SW deserts, where the snakes, gators, and javelina LOVE fresh meat. Do we have idiots on a local level? Yes, sadly. It's illegal to kill a rattlesnake in North Carolina, but a bite from one will cost a minimum of $80,000.00 whether you survive it or not. The latest trend of defunding/abolishing the police is really indicative of their ignorance. With all of their proposed laws and no one to enforce them, what's their plan? The MILITARY? Starting to get the picture yet? One size DOESN'T fit all, and Universal remotes aren't. Where there is consensus, there's no leadership. Only tyrannical despots. And oppressed people.
