But with the lowly is wisdom.Do not praise yourself, if your work is good, others will praise you.Let him who is praised by men take heed, for in such praise, many mighty men have fallen into the cruel hands of pride and got consumed.Of what gain is man's praise if not a sacrifice to feed his ego.Holding a bobble and cherishing a bobble is like chasing the wind, for in due time, the bobble bursts and man is left with nothing. So is the praise of men, pride and arrogance.A wise man on sighting the devouring lion of pride, stands, and with the flaming sword of humility, wisdom and selflessness overcomes the pride of life and the arrogance thereof.But the ignorant man clothed with the garment of self glory embraces the devourer and get consumed.Mark 10[17] And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?[18] And Jesus said unto him, why call me good? There is non good but one, that is God.The master on sensing the vain glory of men distanced himself.Beware of the flattering lips of men, for that is the tool that plants the seed of pride.
