The days of innocence are behind US. The times when we played "cops and robbers" on our bicycles, and gave the robbers an extra few minutes head start to make the game more fun. Those days when you caught tadpoles in an old Mason jar, brought 'em home, and poured them out over a slice of bread in the backyard so's they could hatch into frogs. Getting excited when the bread disappeared thinking there were frogs around now, and the disappointment of not finding any. Having to get up a real head of steam on your bike when you passed Bruce's house, or his dog "Nipper" would try and live up to his name if you didn't coast by his house. Falling out of trees and getting the wind knocked out of you. Building tree forts. Throwing up after smoking rabbit tobacco for the first time, not knowing you needed to dry it first. Having one cardinal rule : BE HOME WHEN THE YARD LIGHT CAME ON. Never even contemplating talkin' back to your Mama or Dad. Yeah, those days. Ancient history for us, but is it too late to bring them back for our children and grandchildren? Before you say "Yes", consider my alternative ! We ALL know we've had ENOUGH ! What would THEY do if we refused to participate in their " offended" stances? What would they do if we ATTACKED their "cancel culture" ? How? Well, we all know that saying anything against this feckless administration gets us sideways with Mark and his cadre of fact checking minions. To circumvent that, simply skip the tyrants and go straight to the tools of the oppressors ! Instead of playing into THEIR hands, remove the weapons before they can be utilized! Stand up for our Constitution, Bill of Rights, and freedoms contained within them. How? Email's, phone calls, snail mail, or personal visits to whoever needs it. For example, consider the Coke debacles. If you're a Coke-aholic, you might be mad, but you don't want to stop buying it. Write a letter to the CEO, who's NOT the original founder, and explain your past brand loyalty, describe the problem you're having with their stupid decision to interfere in politics and hate tactics instead of just making cola, and tell him you're going to have to refrain from buying his product if he should continue on his present course and encourage your friends to do so also. As well as sell any stock owned ! Companies are in business to make money. Period. To alienate half the country as customers is idiotic, and thinking your addiction to their product will force you to agree with them is pure fantasy. I'd actually get sick to my stomach if I drank one after a letter like that was sent and a form letter was sent back. I couldn't live with myself. Fly Delta? Laughable. Hurting air carriers don't join political frays that will cost them business. It's past time to stand up to these moronic bastions of control and let them know even the walls of Jericho came down with enough noise. Once they go back to what they're good at, we can go back to educating our children and grandchildren in order to stem the tide of misery, and hopelessness that leads to the drug culture of today. By forcing local school boards to listen, we can turn the tide from indoctrination to education or we'll home school them as we did with our son. It's up to us, and it's past time for action. We've just been addressing it all wrong. Take away their weapons of societal destruction, you remove the threat. It's our choice. Let's bring back the days of innocence. For THEM !
