We've all heard the expression "There's three sides to every story", but today's younger generations have either forgotten it or simply ignore it. Our government HASN'T, however. What MOST Americans are missing right now is the ramifications of this all. Yeah, I've spoke about C2PA in the past, and urged people to look it up and see what it was about, but deaf ears is where it landed. Same as the admonitions from Trump in reference to Section 230. Now, as we're on the precipice of no return, I'll try once more to speak to it all before it's too late. You'll know it's too late when this page disappears. Simplistically, there's my side, your side, and the truth. IF I ELIMINATE your side, the truth will be written by ME from my perspective. Conversely, if you eliminate MY side, you control the truth and perspective. NOW, let's complicate this. Most of us have had run-ins with this platform in one way or another, and discovered the anger of not being able to face our accuser or debate the issue. C2PA is nothing but the exact same thing across ALL Big Tech, and distributed and controlled by them. No electrical device anywhere is beyond their reach. Even TVs, freezers, refrigerators, and autos. Every keystroke, entry, post, email, chat, or anything created by you will be source coded directly to you and your device. Should something trigger an algorithm set up by THEM, you're identified and marked. Here's the problem, folks. WHO decides the algorithms? WHO decides the punishments? Is there going to be a fair trial judged by our peers or just the jury of " community standards" that we've never seen or been exposed to? With the increasing tidal wave of technology comes AI, the bane of our future according to many intelligent people like Stephen Hawking and others. Once combined with a digital currency, all freedom is now lost. Picture this platform having the ability to suspend your finances for the same period of time as they "jail" you without recourse. What would you be comfortable with ? 24 hrs? 3 days? 7 days? 30 days? How about Trump being deplatformed? Whether you like him or not, if they can do that to ONE American, they can do that to ANY American, including YOU. It's only a question of compliance with THEIR standard. Recompense ? None. So, now to the "community" that sets these "standards". Who are they? Where are they going to come from? Are they " favorite sons" of a particular party? Are they neutral in all things? Do they have enough intelligence and forethought? Are they Constitutional scholars? Will it be determined only by AI? We've ALL been witnessing disinformation via social media and MSM for years. Have we dumbed down to the point we're willing to subjugate ourselves to this? Down the path determined by the Democratic Socialist Progressive Party or "mob rule"? Unfortunately, I believe that that's EXACTLY what's going to be happening, and sooner than you think. Look at the list of companies and organizations that already endorse and support this. Then, ask yourself " How many Americans even KNOW about this" ? I rest my case, sadly. Yes, I'm over 70, and on the short end of life's stick. It bothers me to think about my son's future, but infuriates me to know I won't be alive to see how THEY react when it "circles back" on THEM , which it surely will in time.
