* Until 330 PM EDT.
* At 240 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located 10 miles north of Pickens, or near Table Rock State
Park, moving east at 40 mph.
HAZARD...Tornado.
SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.

Jones Gap State Park and Caesars Head State Park around 300 PM
EDT.
Pleasant Ridge State Park, Tigerville, Slater-Marietta and
Travelers Rest around 310 PM EDT.
Lake Robinson around 320 PM EDT.
Campobello, Landrum and Tryon around 330 PM EDT.
Other locations impacted by this dangerous thunderstorm include
Sunset, Gowensville, Pumpkintown, North Saluda Reservoir and Glassy
Mountain.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
and protect yourself from flying debris.
A brief, weak tornado is likely. Mobile homes could be flipped.
Falling trees can cause death or serious injury, and major damage to
houses. Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of
a sturdy building.
