The National Weather Service in San Angelo has issued a
* Tornado Warning for...
Eastern Kimble County in west central Texas...
Southwestern Mason County in west central Texas...
* Until 1115 PM CDT.
* At 1038 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a
tornado and damaging winds was located over Junction and near
Segovia moving east at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Tornado and hail up to two inches in diameter.
SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.
* This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
eastern Kimble and southwestern Mason Counties, including the
following locations... Us-83 Near The Kerr-Kimble County Line, I-10
Near The Kimble-Kerr County Line and The Intersection Of I-10 And
Us 290.
This includes Interstate 10 between Mile Markers 450 and 477.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
and protect yourself from flying debris.
