#OTD in 1919, the battleship USS Idaho (BB-42) was commissioned. During WWII, the Japanese claimed to have sunk the Idaho three times but she survived the war and was in Tokyo Bay to witness Japan's surrender. This is the Idaho punching Okinawa in 1945
