The immigration reform fiasco has been around a LONNNGGG time before Reagan. I've been trying for years to get to the bottom of it, and decided to apply the tried and true tool that works for many investigators : follow the money. Most Americans only think about the "poor" refugees, that only come here to improve their lives. Some actually do. Most Americans believe they come here in order to send money home. Some actually do. If these were the only issues, immigration reform would be a cakewalk. Unfortunately, it has metastasized into a form of Hydra, almost beyond dealing with. There's GOT to be a way politicians are making BIG money over this in order to allow Americans to watch them do nothing in their fecklessness. For DECADES, they've punted the football, or kicked the can down the road if you prefer. Even when Trump gave CONgress a deadline, they refused to perform. There's been laws on the books for YEARS, and nobody enforces them. Different parties enforce different laws, and pass more to complicate the plumbing, but just wind up stopping up the drain. It's maddening. HOWEVER, consider these questions. IF they're SO indigent, where do they get $6-$10,000.00 to pay the coyotes ? We've ALL seen photos of them marching towards the border, with full bling and I-pads. I like the latest photos of them wearing T-shirts with "Thanks Biden" and "Thank You Joe" on them. He's been in office only 61 days, folks ! SOMEBODY, SOMEWHERE, is really busy buying, printing, and handing these out ! Again, who's paying for this ? True, SOME people tell horror stories of their trip, but it usually involves brutal treatment by the coyotes who hate competition. I saw a family interviewed last night from BRAZIL, who only wanted to come here due to fighting in his country. Yeah, right. As soon as he left Brazil, wouldn't that problem be gone? How many countries did he pass through that would've solved that problem? A family of 5, that cost at LEAST $30,000.00. Indigent? To escape fighting back there? That amount of money in some of the countries they passed through would've been enough to set them up like a Royal Family ! Which leads to the next question. Why haven't they taken the time to realize what they're coming TO ? I don't know many Americans who can lay their hands on that kind of money to go anywhere like Brazil and demand asylum. They've sold their nation out for $1400.00 ! The drug epidemic keeps a LOT of people broke and desperate. Taxes are increasing, cost of goods are skyrocketing, and prescriptions are already 2-4X what they were on January 19th. A staggering amount of money is being spent trying to handle what's been created in the past 61 days, and that's on TOP of having to pay off the contracts the Government already let for the border wall. There's penalty clauses in there, too, that the Government (us) will have to pay. Why did they abandon all the equipment, tools, and supplies? They were/will be paid for anyway ! Yet, we're ALREADY spending over $86Million for hotel rooms? Yeah, this is going to be a costly mistake. Wait'll these new "citizens" find out they'll be too broke to leave ! Like the REST of us ! It's LUDICROUS ! From over 120 countries ! I feel like the GIF of John Travolta from "Pulp Fiction". Is there anybody else around that even sees a problem ? Hello ?
