Quantum mechanics and the double slit experiment.The conclusions extrapolated from the double slit experiment are incorrect. Whereas the scientific establishment tries to make a case for photons acting as waves as a result of the slit screen experiment, I disagree. Do photons actually act as waves or particles? I propose that that they are particles. The results of the experiment are misunderstood and misinterpreted, the fact that the photons fired by the electron gun at the fence with the slits resulting in multiple columns are not caused by wave cancelling interference as theorized by establishment physicist because it does not take into account the third dimension within the fence itself. The fact that the detector plate shows more than just two columns on the detector plate as would be expected does not prove that photons are not particles. A pattern of multiple bands of photon strikes is a result of ricochet off the inside edges of the slots cut into the fence after bouncing off those inside edge of the fence slits. Though the fence may be very thin and the edges very small you have to realize that photons are so much smaller. For illustration purposes I use different colors to indicate the three different paths that the photons take going through the slits in the fence. The red strikes indicate the photons directly passing straight through the slots hitting the screen as you would expect. The green strikes are a result of the photons ricochet or bouncing off both sides of the inside walls of the right slit. The blue strikes are the result of the photons ricochet or bouncing off both sides of the inside walls of the left slit.
