This boy is seriously foundered. He came to the facility several years ago with elf feet. For the past few months, this horse was given Bute daily for his founder just so he could get up and walk to his food. I'd been working on making him some wooden clogs for laminitis and founder. Both the vet and farrier were at the facility yesterday. The farrier trimmed his feet and the vet showed me how to put the shoes on so they wouldn't come off. The vet told me just to attach the shoes to the front feet; not to worry about the back. He is walking better now. He is not trying to lay down to get off his feet. He is now standing with the other horses. AND he is not on any medication now.
