When the MSM surreptitiously avoids certain things and people that have been front line news for the last five years, if your hackles aren't up you've got a problem. I said I won't be a negative person that only complains about our current administration and HIS hacks, but that don't mean I won't stay informed, unlike most people. I've always said forewarned is forearmed. After I found out that Obiden is readying a commission on court packing, I couldn't resist dallying into the Texas debacle out of sheer curiosity. No, it's not my state, but knowing their past history after living in New Mexico, my belief level wasn't satisfied with events happening over there. I STILL don't understand why Obiden hasn't deployed National Guard and FEMA personnel with generators and assistance, but that's a whole different issue that appears to be bad politics with the prez and their elected officials. To me, it's still a crock because people are people, and you can bet Trump would've been there with bells on. Even if it was Delaware or Virginia ! To watch the most energy wealthy state implode is astounding. Once I entered the acronym "ERCOT" into my search engine , I was gut punched from the start. It wasn't what it stands for, Electrical Reliability Council Of Texas, either. It wasn't that they're responsible for over 75% of deregulated markets. It wasn't that they oversee 90% of the entire load of the Texas grid. It wasn't the huge conglomerate created by the Texas Legislature. It wasn't the massive hierarchy that costs immeasurably annually. It wasn't the fact that most areas NOT controlled by them were fine, and never lost power. The rolling blackouts were only supposed to last short intervals, yet once deenergized, never came back. It wasn't the fact that ONE megawatt jumped in cost from less than $30.00 to over $9000.00, bankrupting smaller members almost instantly ! WHAT IT WAS was failure to take the warnings from a member paid study of the problems suffered in the 2011 outage problem. They totally ignored winterization compliance protocols ! No, it wasn't just the wind turbines or solar panels. It was ALSO failures of coal fired, gas fired, AND nuclear power plants. Failure to inspect winterization compliance due to covid 19 protocols and virtual training instead. They VIOLATED THE PUBLIC TRUST. After my article about Joe Bastardi, I searched fb for his page, and followed it. I went back and reviewed it, and he was talking about a massive storm coming as far back as January 25th ! He talks about show cancellations due to different "more hot button issues" for the MSM coffers, but shouldn't SOMEBODY have heard him? SOMEWHERE in Texas? Governor Abbott is calling for an investigation and resignations, but it shouldn't end there. The Chairperson and her Vice were just elected to their positions a week ago, and are 2 out of the 5 NON RESIDENT board members. The chairperson lives in MICHIGAN ! ERCOT has already requested rate increases to pay for damages. Bills are already sky high with adjustment charges. Failure to criminally prosecute, fine, and imprison the culprits will prove the California model correct after the fires out there. I'm beginning to see that nobody's awake at the switch anymore. Anywhere. The light's on, but nobody's home. Wait.......about that light. It's out , too !
