Only 13 or 14 months ago Whole Foods opened their new flagship store in downtown San Francisco. Given the wealth of many San Franciscans and their liberal bent towards trendy, like only wanting organic foods it was a no brainer to open, right? Wrong. Violence and theft were far worse than they could have imagined (maybe if they had opened their eyes beforehand they would have had their focus on reality rather than imagination) and now 13 or 14 months later they are shutting it down.
Maybe if they had looked around the area a little closer, looked at the fact California is actually dying from high cost of living, ever increasing crime rates, higher taxes with nothing to show for it, electricity shortages as they attempt to save the world through carbon reduction (never understanding that both plant and animal life are carbon based), a foreign invasion of illegal aliens. The list goes on forever.
One thing is certain, consumer based retailers and any large corporation are no doubt rethinking their location. Big Tech may stay for awhile but as other people and businesses leave the state they will be the ones left to pay the government their cut and you can bet government would be atop the list of things government says is too important to cut.
