Black ones are AGH/Kune Kune -$75 eaPink ones are larger mix AGH/KK x Hamp/York - $100 ea________Raised naturally and humanely on local grass/hay/forage and minimal Excel cob mix. Males are intact. Needle teeth not clipped. They are in a stall currently working compost and soon to go out to the field on grass for finishing. Therese are a good option for self sufficient life style. Butchers are in high demand for to Covid, so the black ones are a good starter breed. Small enough for a woman/short person to handle and process. I'm older, short, and weak, and I can handle them just fine. My daughter and I butcher at home. A tractor helps and makes it nicer, though. Lol We process the little guys at anywhere from 7 months to a year. After a year you are growing fat, not frame. Extremely cheap feed bill bc they put on fat easily. They are really geared toward grass fed.The pink ones are a new mix for us this year, aiming for some more size, while keeping the easy keeper properties. So far we are getting the size, and now that they have hit the five month mark they have stopped demanding so much grain to keep body condition. The black ones were hogging it off for a while and now the pink ones have outgrown the black ones in frame and are keeping their round butt shape on good hay mostly. Soon they'll all be going out to field and then they will go in my freezer. They're harder to catch in the field, so now is the time before winter. I'll be having ongoing litters, less in winter, so I have a farm pg on Facebook under Beggs n Achin', and my farm page and blog at beggsnachin.webstarts.com . There's videos, pics, and how/why/ what we do there as well. I also have a You Tube channel under the same name, Beggs n Achin' . We will have a how-to butcher video coming soon as the weather cools enough. I'm new to this forum here, so the quickest way to reach me is by text or messenger, found at the top of my webpage. I am happy to answer questions. We are a small hobby farm hearted toward feeding us first, and selling extra. My aim is to promote self sufficiency
