All of our filters out-perform any comparable disposable and reusable filters. Cotton absorbs some of the oils released from coffee beans yet lets acids pass through. The resulting cup is clear crisp, rich and robust with all the acid of paper brewed coffee, without the paper taste, and all of the richness of French press without the heavy oiliness. CoffeeSock filters are made with Certified Organic Cotton. Cotton imparts no flavor on the finished brew unlike paper. Cotton is 90% cellulose, which is a tasteless and odorless compound that is insoluable in water. Wood is 40-50% while Hemp is approximately 45% cellulose. CS filters are made in Austin, Texas. We ship Monday through Friday within 1 business day. Monday-Friday we work really hard to process the package the same day that we get the order and get it to the USPS the same day. Our carrier picks up packages Monday - Saturday. However, our carrier is a rural carrier so he may be out late delivering past the time of the truck pickup from the Post Office. He may also not pickup in bad weather as nobody clears our road. Any day that he's out past 4pm then he does not scan the package until the following morning even though it's at the Post Office. Mondays or the day after a holiday this will always be the case also occasionally any extremly busy day for him may slow him down.
