God's Country. Lake Superior keeps us loaded with plenty of fresh air, tons of fresh water fish and plenty of ship watching. A supreme bakery well known for their jams, bourbon soaked brandy fruit cakes, excellent muffins, coffees and good company. Look up "THE JAMPOT" and either visit or order on line. Brockway Mountain is the second highest point here in the Western UP and offers views of the freighters, on a clear day Isle Royal ( some 37 miles out in Superior), beautiful Copper Harbor, Mount Bohemia (extreme downhill skiing) and beauty....
Anyways am 20 miles South of Brockway Mountain, and just South of Deleware (snowiest spot in Michigan). There are miles and miles and miles of snowmobile trails, Swedetown ski trails, Mount Ripley and Mount Bohemia are our downhill ski spots, Bohemia being for the more experienced skiers.
There you have it.....oh did I mention our largest snowfall for 1 winter was 379" in 1978, average winters total out over 300". Plenty of snow for everyone!!!
