We spend a lot of money paying for services provided by others. They are usually people that we have never met or might meet only once due to necessity. They are "no name people" until we get the bill...We put our confidence in surgeons, pilots, engineers, mechanics, restaurants... on and on the list goes. We have no doubt or we wouldn't pay "the less we can for the most." We pay for services that requires our faith or trust in unknown people. It is crazy.
However, why is it so hard for people to put faith in the Lord with no doubting? This evening while watching the Weather Channel for hurricane updates, a meteorologist was talking about Lake Charles, LA going to be hit. They are still trying to recover from Hurricane Laura. They showed a big percentage of the houses have tarps on their roofs. This new hurricane will just rip away those tarps. He said, "If any of you out there believe in prayer, pray for Lake Charles. If you don't believe in prayer, do whatever it is you do." I thought about how people in a crisis still have a little faith, mustard seed size, to ask for prayer.
God is in control... praying and praising His name!!
