Originally it was all about “Free Speech” but your Free Speech is no longer “Free”. If you want free speech as of 10/01/23 then you must pay for it through their “Options plans”. Basically $120 dollars a year if you want the feed. At a million users that $120 million a year and Jase said it’s $240 thousand a year to remain as is. So $240k to $120m is a big difference, so again moving just like FB. It’s now about money, not free speech. If I wanted a friends only platform I would have stayed with FB, at it was free. Next is the ad sponsors and influencers will inundate the platform then they will start to control what is said on the platform or they will threaten to stop sponsoring it. This is exactly how FB went. On 10/01/23 I will be deleting the Wimkin app and moving on. It was a great app the way it was but it’s sad that they all forget why it came about.
