I grew up on the edge of a small town, on what would today be considered a small homestead, Lorena grew up in the big city. Somehow we met and made a life together. During 30 years of military service we were stationed in both big cities and small towns all around the Pacific (Hawaii, South Korea, Japan and Alaska) and Texas (San Angelo and San Antonio). Over time Lorena also developed a love for the country life. When it came time to retire and decide what was next, our toughest decision was where, (we agreed on the Pineywoods region of Texas) and our search for property began. We got lucky and found a beautiful piece of property in Northeastern Texas between Diana and Lake O’ the Pines. As soon as I retired, we began our journey to develop the property into a homestead and get Back to Country. We hope you will join us as we continue our journey.
