Why are public health experts not warning Americans of the spike in accidental fatalities from tainted prescription drugs?
In one north Texas county alone, authorities have documented a 485% spike in fentanyl related fatalities, typically where a person accepts an Adderall, Percocet, etc. from a trusted friend, not knowing that the drug came from an online pharmacy or the street - and that it is laced with a lethal dose of fentanyl. These are not the fentanyl deaths plaguing addicts. This is not the opioid problem that you have read about in the local news or hear about in televised political debates. Avoiding illegal drugs or the abuse of legal drugs does not protect you. These are otherwise legal, prescription drugs that unsuspecting Americans are taking, costing their lives.
Sheriff Jim Skinner of Collin County (Plano) Texas and Sheriff Jim Waybourn of Tarrant County (Ft. Worth) Texas share their first hand experiences, witnessing the zipping of the body bags on otherwise healthy teenagers, businessmen, and children who did not know that they would be the next statistics in the ongoing war against fentanyl. The sheriffs also share harrowing facts about the related problem of human / child sex trafficking, bringing in $100 million monthly for traffickers; where one finds trafficking in illicit substances, one will nearly always find trafficking in persons. Same criminals, same corridors. The sheriffs' prescription for fixing the problem: Shut the border now. These sheriffs and their officers are the "tip of the spear" for tackling cartel violence and illicit dealing. They are the heroes protecting Texas and the nation where the federal government has abdicated responsibility.
