I'm a bit of a star gazer...clear pitch black sky here. So, if you can see Orion's belt, look just under it at a cluster of stars. It's actually a nebula. Telescope or good binoculars let's you see just how cool it is. Added a little detail of it in the pics. Oh, a great star app is Sky Safari. Helps you figure out what they are if you don't already know. Very educational for kids as well. No, I'm not paid by them. I just love the app. Enjoy.
