Personally I don't see the point. Especially when this country 🇬🇧 is in the financial state it's in.And yes I do understand that it's money spent from the travel and tourism pot but maybe that's the problem right there. Money sitting in in different pots that have to be spent whilst we continue to ignore the plight of this country. ▪️People struggling to cope with the extortionate rises in their utility bills.▪️Taxes constantly on the increase. ▪️Retirement age constantly rising.▪️Homeless people living rough.There is no common sense in the world today, (especially at local and central government level) instead money is being spent on things that help no one. As for bringing footfall into the town, I very much doubt it (hope I'm proved wrong), yes people will come initially because of natural curiosity but once the novelty is done it'll be back to the same old town centre, as I said, I hope I'm proved wrong.
