DEHYDRATED CHICKEN BONE BROTH - This was quite the process that I'm not so sure was worth it. Started a chicken bone broth, with leftover chicken bones saved up in the freezer, in a 12 quart stockpot that simmered for 48 hours, which reduced to about 4-6 cups, then strained and refrigerated it overnight so I could de-fat it the next morning. Then began the dehydration process, which took 3 full days. I had to dehydrate in batches at 165 degrees for 12 hours each batch. Grind it into a powder, return all the powder to the dehydrator for another 3 hours or so to be sure I got the moisture out. All that work for 3/4 cup of concentrated dehydrated chicken bone broth powder.... ?
I think I'd much prefer to freeze or can the stock from now on...?
You never know 'til you try! I had to try...
