Black velvet cake with blackberry compote filling, black cocoa buttercream frosting, dark chocolate skulls, blackberries and rose petals. My son was born on Friday the 13th so I always do a fun cake, kind of Halloween themed cake for his birthday. This was a labor of love but worth it, absolutely delicious. Epicurean mouse is where I found the recipe.
