If you bring holly into your home don’t throw it away in the trash,the holly as to be burnt on the fire in the home. Holly captures evil spirts and burning the holly destroys the evil spirts. This time of year to the pagans was celebrated for the return of life after the winter solstice ( the shortest day of the year)
