Goodbye Dorothy Jean,
Though I never knew you when you were queen,
You had the grace to hold your crown so high,
The Rose City's pride, I cannot lie...
You lost your father in the midst of things,
You had to give your part in spite of this.
It seems to me you lived your life,
like a candle in the wind,
Never knowing how much we loved you, the cities rain could never win.
And we wish you could know our pride in you,
your gone and now we feel so blue.
You gave us love and honestly,
you taught us to be so true.
Please know how much you meant to us,
your memory lingers still...
Your candle burned out long before,
your memory ever will...
