Dear Rudy and Erin, Thank you so much for the early Christmas gift. That was so nice of you. You both are some of God's angels. Well, we got the word officially on 9-9-20 that this prison (Rivers) is closing as of 3-31-20. We were told that we would be relocated to other prisons closer to our families. Let's hope. Actually, I may get out before then. The Washington DC Public Defender's Office filed for a Compassionate Release on my behalf on 11-25-20. Since then, I have read cases of numerous inmates being release that are younger than me, have committed more serious crimes and have few or NO medical issues AND have served only 30-40% of their sentences! Example: U.S. v. Locke ("serving no more than 6 months of his 62 month sentence."). Now, I am no math major, but that looks like less than 10% of his sentence, right? I was told by inmates here who knew some of the guys from here that got a Compassionate Release that once filed, within about 60 days the judge will rule on the Motion. We are not going to fret over the outcome. I have told the Lord that I was His will to be done in this matter, not mine. So, I know that whatever happens, it will be the best for Kookie and me in the long run. Lots of love to you both, Eddie
