God With UsMatthew 1:23“Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.”We are less than 19 days away from Christmas.What does Christmas mean to you?In your mind, what needs to happen to make this year’s Christmas special for you?Are you one of those people that every year your goal is to make Christmas perfect?Maybe the question I am really asking is this, come December 25th will you be at peace?Content?Satisfied?And what will bring it?Some studies show that many Americans deal with increased sadness, anxiety, stress, fear, discontentment, worry, and loneliness during the Christmas season. Could it be that some of this is due to unrealistic goals one may set for themselves and others at Christmas time? For the next 19 days there is one phrase from our verse today that I ask you to consider.Would you consider the truth “God with us”?God with us! God was manifested in the flesh. The perfect and living bond of the Holy God and humanity. In Jesus Christ God became man, that He might provide eternal salvation for man. So that Christ might dwell in you and bring eternal hope (Colossians 1:27).Think about it! God is here and if you are born again, then God is in you!
