The Blythe Intaglios (California) consist of more than 200 figures, including human-like figures, animals, and geometric shapes, spread over a vast area of approximately 10 square miles (26 square kilometers). The drawings were created by removing dark desert rocks and exposing the lighter soil underneath, forming lines and shapes that can be seen from the air or from elevated viewpoints. The figures vary in size, with the largest measuring over 170 feet (52 meters) in length. The designs are thought to have been made between 200 BC and 900 AD by the indigenous people who inhabited the region. The exact purpose and meaning of the geoglyphs remain a mystery, as there are no written records or oral traditions explaining their origin or significance..📸:Unknown.#history #mystery #ancient #art
