Fort #Jefferson, also known as the #DryTortugas, is a #NationalPark located approximately 70 miles west of Key West. It is only accessible by #seaplane or #boat. It was also the jail where Dr. Samuel Mudd was in prison for his part in helping John Wilkes Booth escape after he murdered #President #Lincoln. Today is it a tourist attraction with some of the best #snorkeling and #birdwatching there is in #Florida.
