“For this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I myself will search and find my sheep. 12 I will be like a shepherd looking for his scattered flock. I will find my sheep and rescue them from all the places where they were scattered on that dark and cloudy day. 13 I will bring them back home to their own land of Israel from among the peoples and nations. I will feed them on the mountains of Israel and by the rivers and in all the places where people live.
--- Ezekiel 34:11-13 NIV
God promises to take over as shepherd of his scattered flock. When our leaders fail us, we must not despair but remember that God is in control and that he promised to return and care for his flock. Thus, we know that we can turn to God for help. He is still in control and can transform any tragic situation into good for his Kingdom (see Genesis 50:20; Romans 8:28)

PRAYER
Dear Lord,
Thank you for being our good and faithful shepherd, We need You to lead us.
To green pastures. To quiet waters. Along the path of righteousness.
Feed us with Your words through every season of life. Let us accept Your covenant of peace so that we can live with no fear but only faith. Help us to find rest in You. We will lie down safely in Your arms.
Lord, we pray for the lost sheep. Rescue Your flock from all the places they have scattered and we pray that You bring them home safely.
In Jesus’ name, I pray.
Amen
