26 Now in the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know what to pray for as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; 27 and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. --- Romans 8:26; 27 NASB As a believer, you are not left to your own resources to cope with problems. Even when you don't know the right words to pray, the Holy Spirit prays with and for you, and God answers. With God helping you pray, you don’t need to be afraid to come before him. Ask the Holy Spirit to intercede for you “in harmony with God’s own will.” Then, when you bring your requests to God, trust that he will always do what is best. --- Life Application Study Bible notes Example Prayer Dear Heavenly Father, There are times that I can’t verbalize my sighs, longings and heartbreaks when my burden is too deep for words. I praise You for graciously placing Your Spirit in our hearts. I am grateful for Holy Spirit that make known those deep yearnings of my soul. I know You still listen to my unuttered prayers when my heart is too heavy for words since Your Spirit is active in me. Help us to open our hearts to follow the prompting and leading of Your Holy Spirit. I trust You will answer even my unspoken prayers in Your time while I persevere in prayer In Jesus’ name, Amen
