From the beginning I predicted the outcome; long ago I foretold what would happen. I said that my plans would never fail, that I would do everything I intended to do. --- Isaiah 46:10 GNT Israel was tempted to waver between the Lord God and pagan gods. Isaiah affirms the sole lordship of God. God is unique in his knowledge and in his control of the future. His consistent purpose is to carry out what he has planned. When we are tempted to pursue anything that promises pleasure, comfort, peace, or security apart from God, we must remember our commitment to God. --- Life Application Study Bible notes PRAYER Heavenly Father, Thank You for the reminder through Your word, I thank You that there is none like You. You are perfect and do not fail. I praise You for what You set out to accomplish will happen. Your plan will not be deterred and will not be put off. Help me to know Your purposes for me. You’ve blessed me with different gifts and talents. Help me understand how to cultivate those things to bring glory to You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen
