This is so true, you can say you have read your bible thousands of times, forwards and backwards but do you understand what you read? Understanding is so much different than just reading something for face value. What matters is if you read underneath the words, you chew deeply and let the flavors of Abba resonate in and through your body as you swell with hunger and thirst. Understanding makes you thirsty while just knowing leaves you empty. Just like when you want to get to know someone, you don't want to scratch just the surface of what you want to know about that person, you want to dig deep within to understand them and build a connection.
