Psalm 3:3 - “But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, my glory & the One who lifts my head”
To be a lifter of our heads means we are so often downcast looking around at our circumstances & despondent over perceived misfortune and trouble. God does not take us out of troubles but instead lifts our heads in the midst of them. When He lifts our heads we are not bound by our natural tendency to be overcome by the circumstances. Instead, we see who God is & what He is doing even through difficulties. Corrie Ten Boom said “If you look at the world, you’ll be distressed. If you look within, you’ll be depressed. If you look at God you’ll be at rest.” So what are you looking at today?
