Many would say that objective analysis of Sweden's approach (no lockdown, no mandates) validates reaching herd immunity while protecting the most vulnerable.
A local surgeon told me that it was normal for this time of year to be his busiest (despite dire media reports), since many waited to schedule until their deductibles were met. Other medical staff around the country have reported being laid off because the hospitals are not and were not overwhelmed.
Meanwhile, mask mandates are questioned by credible professionals that rely on information from multiple studies over time, while mask mandates correlate with increased illness. Correlation isn't causation...until it is. It's time to look at the evidence objectively, rather than cling to a subjective worship of maskology that insists its disciples close their eyes and ears to anything but its irrational fear based doctrine.
We also have all of recorded history to teach us what happens when basic freedoms are trampled, usurped, and eroded. Americans live in a country where we still have Constitutional law to protect basic freedoms. It's time for Americans stand up to protect freedom.
It's not arrogant or ignorant to think rationally, nor is it selfish to choose to gather with loved ones. It is ridiculous to think that masks or a vaccine will eradicate this virus.
The producers of the vaccines are now admitting that the vaccine will not prevent infection or transmission, but will possibly reduce severity of symptoms. It's admitted with a boldface while participants are at a 70+% adverse event rate, many with serious issues, and warned not to get pregnant or father a child. Why? Because the recipients will have their RNA permanently altered, and also any future offspring.
I think it's quite rational to decide that a 99+% safe recovery based on our immune system merits deciding whether or not to gather with those we love.
Fear is not a virtue.
