That's a statement of fact. There's nothing indicating it continues chiming after the 4 seconds. If it was continuously chiming, then the statement of fact would be "while a clock was chiming, 4 seconds elapsed for every 5 chimes...if the clock continues chiming at that rate, for the next six seconds, how many additional chimes will have occurred?. That would be [4+ 1/2(5)]. Which would be 4+2.5 or an additional absolute value of 6 additional chimes. So during 10 seconds you would have a total number of chimes being 6+5 or 11 total chimes. If I really put my head into it I might even be able to get to irrational numbers or even imaginary numbers of counts but that shit melts my brain. And I would need additional information or make additional assumptions such as," is a single chime itself a non-zero integer value of time?" And assuming it is, "what is the ratio of chiming time to non chiming time".
