Everyone is crying about going back to "Level Two." What are these fictional arbitrary levels? Who invented them? And why would you follow them?Go into the wilderness alone. Tell me who has authority over your life. Tell me who is there to protect you. Who's responsibility is it to feed yourself?Here in town, life is exactly the same. Governors all over the nation are assuming they have authority over others. They haven't delivered a single box of food to my home. Nor have they paid a single one of my responsibilities. They have no ability to pay my bills, nor put food on my table nor tell me when I can or cannot work, nor who or how many I visit with. They cannot stop me from living my life my way, for I am an American. Being an American comes with great responsibility. That responsibility cannot be taken away, nor controlled by governor, health department, nature or god. It is a simple fact of being alive. You have a responsibility to this community.If you are a barber or a stylist, you have the responsibility to cut hair. It was given to you by the necessity of others. It can't be proclaimed as "non-essential" by any elected official or force of nature. You being essential is dictated by the need of others and your skill at your art. If you are a musician, you have the responsibility to perform to large crowds. That is who you are. No virus or natural disaster or government mandate can change your responsibility to perform. The mosh pit is an essential part of a human life. Coming home covered in the sweat of 10,000 other human beings is what ensures the healthy immunity of our communities. And it will be the mosh pit that defeats this virus, like it, or not. It could be from a rock concert, a DJ at the night club, or dancing to country music blasting from a pickup truck at a Bonfire. Live Music is essential to life. Far more essential than governors or heath departments.Welcome to capitalism. It is not a man made economic choice. It is the fluid dynamic of a free community without the interference of a tyrant.Your compliance is harming the health of everyone around you. Get into the mosh. Live. Or you are already dead.
