Ignoring the Important KeyMatt. 21:42 "Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same has become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes?"Jesus talked about how the religious leaders ignored him much like a brick mason would ignore the stone that connected everything else. The most important stone of the building that made everything work was completely ignored. Think of it: These were the architects of the Jewish religion, yet in their structure, it was empty and void because what would have connected everything was forgotten or dismissed.The culture we live in today ignores God in many ways, His Son, what Salvation is, the Church, and God's Word. Then we flounder about important issues in life and wonder why things seem meaningless.You ignore a lot of stuff, and you are in trouble. A bad tire, insurance, a leaky roof, your health, a doctor's diagnosis, an expired driver's license, and even stuff like our family, our mate, things to do in our job. You name it when we forget it or just ignore it, one day, we will be in trouble.And people do have trouble big time without Christ raising children without moral values or His example. We will have trouble with sin because "the way of the transgressor is hard. But above all, you will one day be hurled out into eternity and answer to the eternal God for how we didn't have Christ in our lives. Then, 100 % of everybody will see how important it is to know Christ personally, but tragically, for many, it will be too late. Don't walk by the cross and say it has no meaning. One day it will be the only thing that really matters. --- Dan Nelson
