The Bible says that “everyone has sinned and has fallen short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23) Romans 6:23 says that “the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.” We deserve death and hell because of our sin, but Jesus took our punishment for us on the cross. “God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” (Romans 5:8) Christ took our punishment, we receive eternal life.Romans 10:9 says that “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” The gift of salvation is free but you have to receive it. You have to invite Jesus into your heart and make him the Lord of your life.If you’ve never invited Jesus into your life, pray with me… Dear Jesus, come into my life. Forgive me of my sins. Fill me with your Holy Spirit and your love. Be the Lord of my life. Thank you for dying for my sins and rising again so I could be in Heaven with you forever.
