? Catholic Salvation vs Biblical Salvation ~ Catholic Salvation The Catholic Church teaches that salvation starts when one is baptized as an infant and is maintained by partaking of the sacraments of the Catholic church throughout the Catholic's life. The Catholic church also teaches that catechism must follow Baptism to properly assist the baptized on his Christian journey. They teach if the infant dies before water baptism the baby's salvation can NOT be guaranteed.------------------------------------------------------------------- ~ Biblical Salvation Romans 1.16 KJV "For I am not ashamed of the *gospel of Christ* for it is the power of God unto *salvation* to every one that believeth..."The Gospel of Christ - 1. Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you *the gospel* which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;2 By which also *YE ARE SAVED*, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have *BELIEVED* in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received [the gospel], how that *CHRIST DIED FOR OUR SINS* according to the scriptures 4 And that *HE WAS BURIED*, and that *HE ROSE AGAIN* the third day according to the scrip. -1Cor.15.1-4 KJV Salvation is thus received by faith in Jesus Christ, believing he died to pay for our sins and rose from the dead to gift us with eternal life. Eph.2.8 KJV - "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God"
