Time for the tarot card of the day--I select one card per day to encourage meditation and journaling about a specific theme. Today we've drawn the 9 of Swords--and will someone get that chef's knife out of Grandma's hand! I don't think she's about the carve a turkey and she seems entirely too gleeful!The key words of this card are: Paranoia, Delusion, Apprehension.In other words--2020.Fear has been transformed into a moral good in certain circles and just look at what it has wrought! This in turn has created more legitimate fears regarding what the lunatics will do next and are there enough sane people to counteract it or at least minimize the damage. The trouble with fear is that it bypasses our ability to think. We can fret endlessly about what has happened, what might happen and how awful it could be--but that's not the same thing as taking steps to address the issues at hand. Refocusing on what needs to be done and determining how best to accomplish it will aid us more than giving into our emotions.
