This is post for last year.This is Lizard, Lizzy for short. Her beak is cracked. We named her Lizard because she keeps flicking her tongue like one. I think it is because of the beak. She got lost and I found her in a snow bank with her wings iced up. We took her inside to tend her. She got better very fast, but chickens make good house pets.She will probably go outside again in the spring with a leg bracelet so we do not mix her up with all the other rescue hens from last summer.Chickens are amazing house pets though. She is very friendly, happy to cuddle up on the couch and is just fun to be around, but she does beg for food too much and is a bit pushy. :) Chickens can be litter trained or use chicken diapers.This I just wrote.Update I did put her back out in the summer. She did good I will probably bring her back in soon as it is getting cold out.
