Not only is the veil between the words thinning, but those who have passed through the year will soon be gathered for their journey to the otherworld to be greeted and comforted by the God and the Goddess.Offerings of food and drink for the gods, the dead, and the fae (all of whom absorb the energy of the offering) is especially proper at this time. Another activity to honor the dead would be to participate in any community efforts to tidy and beautify local cemeteries. We can bless our home and places of worship to shield ourselves from unfriendly spirits as well as meditate upon the nature of our physical mortality.
