View MoreI have seen some very compelling arguments on both sides of the issue, “Did we really go to the Moon?” Subsequently there was an avalanche of classified information leaked and security oath breaking by numerous inside people from the MIC, NASA, private contractors, etc. The government tried their best to debunk and deny as much as they could, but the tooth paste was already out of the tube and continued to ooze for years. NASA chose the first man to walk on the moon, Neil Armstrong who was a test pilot, all American boy, brave, courageous and bold. He was not a timid soul. Neil was not given to braggadocios diatribes or expounding pompous self-promotion, but he accepted well deserved accolades with charm and grace. He did not shy away from honors bestowed upon him and was anticipating his greatest adventure yet to come. NASA placed him on the short list of astronauts from which they would choose the first man on the moon. Then as it became apparent that indeed he was the first choice he was ecstatic, that is until he started sitting for Top Secret briefings. Not only was he the best qualified, along with being brave, courageous and bold, his integrity, moral turpitude and ethical principles were beyond reproach. This created a conundrum for him. He learned that the mission included a matter of substantial deception to be perpetrated upon the American public, if not the entire world. His joy at being a true hero was now severely tempered by the fact that he would be a party to a ruse, a partial hoax and the mission would not be televised live as was advertised, but edited and some parts actually faked by broadcasting a special effects Hollywood style production in its place. This NASA strategy was employed by them to mitigate the potential problem of having to cover-up unexpected appearance of or interference by any Alien presence, artifacts or archeological ruins. For a man who should have been relishing in the glory of being the first man to step onto the moon he was rather somber and a bit of a recluse as the years went by. When Armstrong and Aldrin encountered the two huge mother ships sitting on the edge of a crater across from where they landed it was not broadcast for the world to see. The same goes for the massive archaeological structures on the dark side of the moon.
